Descriptions for our recurring rides are listed below. Please join our Facebook group (Women’s Cycling NYC) to be notified when sign up is available, along with any other updates (notably weather cancellation). Note: sign up is required prior to arrival.
We also have sign up through Eventbrite (http://womenscyclingnyc.eventbrite.com/), but note that weather related cancellation updates happen through our Facebook Group.

Twice a month rides (April-October)
Prospect Park Beginner/Intermediate-level workshop
Every other Wednesday, join us for a friendly, beginner / intermediate-level road workshop about how to ride efficiently and safely. Each session will highlight a different skill such as gearing, cadence, pedaling, pace lining. The goal is that everyone will get something from the workshops. Cyclists of all levels, particularly beginners and intermediates, are welcome. The rides are geared towards road bikes, but hybrids are welcome too.
Meet at the cross park intersection of West Dr & Center Dr (coordinates 40.65841, -73.97257) at 6:25am for 6:30am start. Leader will be in a Bicycle Habitat kit. Road bikes and foot retention highly recommended. We’ll begin with a brief speech, then practice the skills together, and then everyone will break into smaller groups and do a few laps (approx. 1 hour). Led by BHWC leader Blythe Austin.
Prospect Park Intermediate-level road ride
Every other Wednesday, join us for a friendly, intermediate-level road ride with average pace of 15-18mph. We will ride as a group and paceline instruction will be given. Meet at Grand Army Plaza at the start of West Drive at 6:25 for 6:30am rollout. Leader will be in a Bicycle Habitat kit. Road bikes and foot retention highly recommended. We will ride 4 laps together (approx. 1 hour). Led by BHWC leader Star Sawyer.
Central Park All-Levels road ride
Every other Wednesday, join us for a friendly, all-levels road ride with average pace of 12-18mph. We start out together and may sort into different groups, depending on experience. Each ride will focus on group riding, often working on paceline skills and other techniques. Meet at Loeb Boathouse at 6:25 for 6:30am rollout. Leader(s) will be in a Bicycle Habitat kit. Road bikes and foot retention highly recommended. We will ride 3 laps together (approx. 1 hour). Led by BHWC leaders Jeanne Meyer, Alexa Wilson and Bev Pangilinan.
Once a month rides (June-August)
Central Park Hill Repeats Workshop
Meet at the intersection of 102nd St Crossing and East Drive, a.k.a. E 103rd St transverse (coordinates: 40.7943, -73.9548) at 6:25 for 6:30am start. Ride leader Lisa Mazzola will give ride participants a workout overview before rolling out to tackle Harlem Hill, circling through the transverse each time, hence the term hill repeats. Each rider will work at their own intensity and pace, and our ride leader will circulate throughout the group offering tips and tricks for form and efficiency. Each month the workout focus will change to address a range of topics that relate to climbing technique and training. Please arrive on time as the workout overview will start promptly at 6:35 am.
Leader will be in a Bicycle Habitat kit. Road bikes and foot retention highly recommended. We will ride 10 laps together (approx. 1 hour). Led by BHWC leader Lisa Mazzola
